  • Superbowl Sunday!

    Superbowl Sunday!!! Buffalo chicken. Check! Chips and guac. Check! Chili. Check! Football...football? Where'd the football game go?  Yeah, We had a superbowl party with great food, great friends and great fun...but we forgot to watch the football. Nobody there was really into either team so we ended up just playing Mad Gab and Boxers or Briefs.

    I made sure to get a good 30 minutes of cardio and some weight training in today knowing that I was going to have a superbowl party and I was going to enjoy without counting every little thing I put in my mouth. Also considering that I ate well earlier today.

    B: Granola

    L: Grilled chicken salad

    D: superbowl party food.

    Tomorrow I'm back on track.  I'm supposed to weigh in today but I forgot to weigh myself this morning I feel like it's going to be a "same" week. My food intake this (long) weekend was nothing stellar.  I will be happy if I didn't gain and tomorrow is a new week. Yay! There will always be new beginnings. Remember that, when you feel like just giving up. You will always have a chance to get back on track!  Have a good week girls!

    P.S. I got a great workout shoveling myself out of all this snow! Yay snow!

  • Here a bite there a bite everywhere a bite bite!

    I think I and a leetle problemo.  I've been sneaking little bites of this and that and the other and I think it's really holding me back. :-/ I keep snacking on things here and there too, and saying, oops, it it didn't really count, but it DOES! Grrr. *need to stop snacking*

    B: 2 granola bars-260/6

    L: Stromboli-300/6

    Snack: corn chips- 200/10

    Dinner: Leftovers 800/15

    Total: 1560/37

  • BAM!

    Hey girlies!? How's it going? I'm feeling pretty energetic today and I'm not sure if its because my cold is going away so I'm feeling back to my normal self, or if its because it's SnOwInG, or if its cause I just kicked the gym in the pants and laughed about it! hahaha!

    I wasn't going to log my intake just cause...I dunno...just don't feel like doing it, but I thought to myself, self, you need to buckle down and make yourself do this! Its about self improvement! Grrrr. Alright. Alright. I'll log my intake, but I DON'T have to look up the calories and crap. And I'm not going to. Just cause! (I felt a little A.D.D. all day. Can you tell? Heh.

    Intake:

    B: Pancake (on the run in the car. lol) and Strawberry yogurt

    L: Turkey pita w/spinach, pickle, and tomato. Baby carrots

    Snack: Sliver of stromboli piece of spice cake

    (We serve the kiddos a meal every night and today happened to be cooking day! I cook with them once a month and try to incorporate healthy foods into fun foods. For instance, today we made strombolis but I had broccoli and mushrooms and black olives present and I tried to encourage them to try one tiny little piece of a vegetable. Some of them dove right in stuffing their stromboli w/everything, others just wanted cheese, cheese and more cheese please. lol!)

    Dinner:  Beef stroganoff w/mashed potatoes

    Snacks: Brownie, Apple, Ice cream.

    Yeah, yeah I know...a little heavy on the sweets today. I blame it all on my monthly. boo!

    Ok, so gym time! I did 20 minutes on weight machines, 20 minutes on the elliptical and then I came home and did 20 push ups (granted I used the exercise ball to help) then I did at least 150 crunches at various angles on the ball!

    Question: Have you ever tried to balance yourself, sitting indian style, on top of an exercise ball? It's really kind of fun. I can only manage it for a few seconds and of course I stay close to my bed so when I lose it I can grab my matress before slamming to the floor. Haha. My one co-worker took a yoga class and they had to balance on top of the ball. Crazy, right? Go try it right now, you know you want to!

  • What Inspires You?

    What inspires you to be just who you are!?

    Music and art are two things that help me.  They define me in some ways.  They are always there for me.  And they help me control my food addiction.  I run to them when I need an escape and in return they ask for nothing. In fact they usually give me a very unique gift.  They make me feel satisfied, creative, accomplished.  Do you girls (or guys if any of you read) have anything that absolutely lifts your spirits when you do it?

    btw. The charcoal drawing is mine. I call it "Ladies in Waiting"
